NEMR Total HR is Hiring a Janitor/Housekeeper (FT) Near Bayonne, NJ
Requirements:
- EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent
- EXPERIENCE: Previous sanitation or janitorial experience required
- Ability to follow simple directions.
- Must become familiar with a wide range of chemical cleaning chemicals know how to use common house cleaning device such as vacuum cleaner /back pack etc.
- Check area for spills or special needs throughout the day
- Check condition of waste cans and rest rooms
- Empty soiled linen and solid waste containers, if needed, and take material to centralized collection point for the area of the facility
- High dusting (2x weekly)
- Clean counters/sinks
- Damp wipe furniture, surfaces and ledges
- Spot clean walls, doors and glass
- Clean bathrooms and restock supplies
- Sweep and wet mop floors (if carpet vacuum carpet) with cleaning solutions
- Transport fresh supply stock to floors as needed using hand trucks, dollies, etc.
- Keep supplies, carts, equipment and janitorial closets tidy and clean at all times
- Restock and clean carts at end of shift with germicidal cleaner and stock with fresh product to ensure readiness for the next shift /day’s work
- At times will assist in training new hired / and existing employees
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Stands, walks and reaches above head areas for cleaning.
- Lifts and carries medium to light equipment.
- Occasionally must stoop and stay in a lowered body position.
